Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Character Mom and family!

I am taking a break from the computer to celebrate this wonderful season with my family.

keep Christ in Christmas as you celebrate!

About Me

My desire is to encourage and equip moms to grow character in their family. I am a former teacher, but now as a mother of three I manage my at-home business Wildflowers Character Resources, author Metrofamily Magazine's monthly column-Character Corner, as well as do inspirational speaking and consulting. I have spent years researching, creating, and trying character resources, so I thought I could help other moms by sharing what I have found to be the most fun, effective, practical, and biblical ways to teach kids character.

Why Teach Character?

II Peter 1:5-8 -"For this reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness, and to goodness, knowledge, and to knowledge, self- control, and to self-control, perseverance, and to perseverance, godliness, and to godliness, brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness, love.
For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

According to this verse, we should teach our kids godly character so they can truly know the Lord and be effective and useful for Christ.
